Common Issue 1:

Solution: Calibrate the E58.
It is good practice to calibrate the E58 , before every usage ,or when it suffered any previous " crashes"
Note : Please place E58 on a flat ground before you calibrate .

You can reset the Eachine E58’s gyro settings in two different ways, either using the remote control or through the JY UFO phone APP.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by remote controller
- Step 1: Turn on the remote controller;
- Step 2: Long press the power switch to turn ON the Eachine E58;
- Step 3: Place the drone on a horizontal surface;
- Step 4: Bind the transmitter with the drone by pushing the throttle stick to the highest position, and then pull it back to the lowest position. Solid light will indicate successful bind;
- Final step: Move both sticks to lowest right corner (like in the image above) for about 2-3 seconds. LED lights will start to flash rapidly. Wait few seconds till the lights are solid again and you are done.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by phone APP
Calibrating the Eachine E58 through APP is even more easier. After you connected to drone with your phone. You need to enter the settings menu (like in the image bellow) and select the “Gyro calibrate” icon. First, the LEDs will start to flash rapidly, than steady on. Finish! That was all, you are done and ready for your next flight 🙂
Common Issue 2: After changing the propellers,the E58 is not able to fly up/fly sideway/fly in circle.
Solution: Check that the propeller alphabet matches picture ( as per page 2 of your instruction manual).
Common Issue 3: Loss of Power and connection while mid flight or upon take off
Solution : If you are using wifi to fly the E58 , ensure wifi connection is strong before you go ahead. We suggest to use the remote controller to control the E58 and using the wifi to fly it fpv.
If you are using the controller to fly the E58 and there is loss of power and connection,check that battery is securely inserted in.
* The " clasp" as circled should be fully inserted into the drone, leaving onlythe horizontal markings visible at the exterior.
If inserted properly,It should look linear at the front of the E58.
Common Issue 4: I am able to start the drone but I do not know how to move the drone in different directions.
Solution : After pairing the drone and launching it successfully in the air,move the control sticks according to the labels below.
Please note that the front of the E58 is the front with the camera ,from the E58 perspective. If you want to fly it in your perspective, activate the headless mode.
Common Issue 5: After a few " crashes", one or more of the motors are dead.
Definition of dead motor: There is no movement on the propeller.
Solution: E58 is a solderless quadcopter which works on a simple plug and play system. You have to unscrew the E58, remove the dead motor and insert a new motor. No special equipment such as soldering gun is required. You will need a screwdriver to unscrew .
Picture above showing removal of faulty motor.
Plug in the new motor and screw back the exterior.
Common Issue 6: After calibration, my e58 is still not able to fly perfectly straight, even in low winds conditions.
Solution : After pairing the E58,please trim the E58, according to the picture below. Page 4 of instruction manual.
In short, if the quad drifts to the right, u tune to the left and vice versa according to the direction it drifts.

press the clasp to remove the battery.
if you cant find the clasp, it means the battery is inserted wrongly, with the clasp facing the reverse side . If that happens, you will have to unscrew the E58 to get the battery out.
My E58 seems to disconnect seconds into flight when using the controller. My phone wont work as it keeps loosing the wifi connection. It reflects a poor wifi signal no matter how close I am to the drone. What can I do??
the battery won’t come out? Something is blocking it???

I think the motor is not connected properly on the drone.
Can you check whether there are any loose parts? Calibrating will help also.

Since it is able to function well within 50 feet, the drone is fundamentally functionable. Sometimes for very congested environment, even 2.4ghz doesn;t work.
Can you try flying in another location to see whether you can extend the distance?

To take pictures using the remote controller,
press the shoulder buttons on left side of the controller, the Photo/Video and Headless/RTH.
on right side are the 360° Flips/Emergency stop and Speed switch buttons.
Hi, my e58 was just flying ok and when I tried after a few days one motor didn’t work. When lifting up the drone with my hand and inclining it a little bit, the motor start. When retourning to horizontal position stops again. Should I calibrate or change any part?
I am using the remote to fly and not even connecting wifi in the last test but only about 50 foot range then it lands. If I walk closer it reaquires and I can fly as long as I want as long as I stay within 50 feet. Do I chalk it up as a lemon and buy another.
Like some,help in taking photos using the controls or is the phone the correct device to use.

Hi Phil,
You might want to use the remote controller to fly instead of your mobile device. The mobile device is dependent on the wifi strength . Another alternative is to use the wifi extender with your mobile device.

Did you use the remote controller or your mobile device?
If you use the remote controller and this problem occurs, change the remote controller.It happens to a small percentage of e58 stock,whereby the remote controller is not able to be paired to the e58 due to manufacturing of different batches.
However if the problem happen when you use the mobile device, I am afraid a deeper diagnosis is required.
Can anyone explain why although I can take stills from my phone when connected to E58, I cannot take a video to micro SD card
It did work once only but not now.

take off normal, fly normal at close range. get out about 35 feet and it looses signal and lands. I walk closer and able to take off again and fly well as long as I stay close. I notice a kink in antenna on the drone from when it was new.
Inserted battery into drone. Press Power button but no lights come on. The 3 YYY lights, the two white light in front, the red light at back, none of them come on. Replaced battery, same problem. Please suggest solutions. Is this repairable?

Please update the firmware of your mobile devices.

I suggest you use the remote controller to fly the drone but use the mobile device to view . The remote controller uses 2.4ghz and is independent of wifi interference.
A wifi extender will help to improve the range and interference issue.

it might be a short circuit issue.
You try to calibrate it.
If problem still exist, you will have to replace either themotor that spins uncontrollably . if it doesn’t work, youwill have to replace the flight controller ( circuit board).

You can either use the remote controller or the mobiledevice to control the e58 but not both at the same time.
When using remote controller to control and mobile device to view, ensure that the mode ( at the topright hand side of yourmobile device) is switched to remote controller mode.
If you are using your mobile device to view and operate the e58, the joysticks diagram should appear on yourmobile device.
