Common Issue 1:

Solution: Calibrate the E58.
It is good practice to calibrate the E58 , before every usage ,or when it suffered any previous " crashes"
Note : Please place E58 on a flat ground before you calibrate .

You can reset the Eachine E58’s gyro settings in two different ways, either using the remote control or through the JY UFO phone APP.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by remote controller
- Step 1: Turn on the remote controller;
- Step 2: Long press the power switch to turn ON the Eachine E58;
- Step 3: Place the drone on a horizontal surface;
- Step 4: Bind the transmitter with the drone by pushing the throttle stick to the highest position, and then pull it back to the lowest position. Solid light will indicate successful bind;
- Final step: Move both sticks to lowest right corner (like in the image above) for about 2-3 seconds. LED lights will start to flash rapidly. Wait few seconds till the lights are solid again and you are done.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by phone APP
Calibrating the Eachine E58 through APP is even more easier. After you connected to drone with your phone. You need to enter the settings menu (like in the image bellow) and select the “Gyro calibrate” icon. First, the LEDs will start to flash rapidly, than steady on. Finish! That was all, you are done and ready for your next flight 🙂
Common Issue 2: After changing the propellers,the E58 is not able to fly up/fly sideway/fly in circle.
Solution: Check that the propeller alphabet matches picture ( as per page 2 of your instruction manual).
Common Issue 3: Loss of Power and connection while mid flight or upon take off
Solution : If you are using wifi to fly the E58 , ensure wifi connection is strong before you go ahead. We suggest to use the remote controller to control the E58 and using the wifi to fly it fpv.
If you are using the controller to fly the E58 and there is loss of power and connection,check that battery is securely inserted in.
* The " clasp" as circled should be fully inserted into the drone, leaving onlythe horizontal markings visible at the exterior.
If inserted properly,It should look linear at the front of the E58.
Common Issue 4: I am able to start the drone but I do not know how to move the drone in different directions.
Solution : After pairing the drone and launching it successfully in the air,move the control sticks according to the labels below.
Please note that the front of the E58 is the front with the camera ,from the E58 perspective. If you want to fly it in your perspective, activate the headless mode.
Common Issue 5: After a few " crashes", one or more of the motors are dead.
Definition of dead motor: There is no movement on the propeller.
Solution: E58 is a solderless quadcopter which works on a simple plug and play system. You have to unscrew the E58, remove the dead motor and insert a new motor. No special equipment such as soldering gun is required. You will need a screwdriver to unscrew .

Plug in the new motor and screw back the exterior.
Common Issue 6: After calibration, my e58 is still not able to fly perfectly straight, even in low winds conditions.
Solution : After pairing the E58,please trim the E58, according to the picture below. Page 4 of instruction manual.
In short, if the quad drifts to the right, u tune to the left and vice versa according to the direction it drifts.

After you select the wifi , and it reads " connected to wifi. Internet may not be available" . You need to click JY UFO app on ur mobile device. Then you should be able to view fpv on your mobile device
If the above fail, you need to update your firmware on your mobile device and try again
I am having trouble with the app. I can connect to the drones wifi, I then open the app, go into settings and switch on the (preview 720P), but then when I press play nothing happens, I have no feed from the camera to the phone. I have tried this on 2 devices and have the same issue. Is this common?
Hi Margot,
Yes ,you can use the phone to view FPV but use the remote controller to take pictures .
After you connect the phone to the E58,
1) press the 2nd button ( with the word ’ On’) on the top right of your mobile device. It should read " off"
2) After 1 is done, you are now using your remote controller to control the E58 but using the mobile device to view.
3) To take pictures using the remote controller,
press the shoulder buttons on left side of the controller
I Am wondering when using the controls box with phone attached can you take photos with the phone.

1) If there are lights on the quadcopter and the remote controller and the lights are solid ( not blinking) , the e58 is paired to the controller.By pressing the start button, you shoule be able to able to fly it. Please watch the video in this blog to see how to operate.
2) If there are blinking lights on the E58, it means
a) there is not enough battery in the e58, you will need to charge the e58 battery.
b) if blinking lights on the remote controller, mean not enough battery in the remote controller.change the AA batteries in the remote controller

The app is JY UFO from the app store.
After you pair the drone, go to settings of your mobile device, click wifi, find your E58 wifi and click on it. it should read connected.
After that go to yourmobile device, click the JY UFO app.
You should be able to operate the e58 using the app

To record video via the sd card, press the shoulder buttons on left side of the controller, the Photo/Video and Headless/RTH.
I believe I assembled the drone correctly and installed the batteries properly but the drone won’t fly. The blades wont move. My 25 year old son is in coledge and I can’t talk to him. He would know what to do . Help

check that the propellers are placed correctly and the drone is level, after placing the landing skid gear.

If all4 motors are turning, most likely the drone is not spoilt

Could anyone help, drone was working normally and after one month it first had problems gaining altitude an it was drifting left and right just obove floor. Now it cant take off at all, all 4 propellers are turning but it seems just 2 on front are lifting. Back of the drone stays on ground.

You have gotten a faulty set. You need to change the flight controller . the best is to return the set.

Hi Kameel,
When it says " the internet is not available", it simply means the app is connected and you will not be able to use your mobile device for other internet purpose , beside using it to operate the drone.
Try the following steps
1)Updating the firmware of your mobile device.
2) If 1 doesn’t work, use another mobile device to connect
3) If both 1 and 3 doesn;t work, go to a location with minimal wifi interference and try it on the mobile device.
4) If all the above doesn’t work, use the remote controller.
It is advisable to use the remote controller instead of the wifi as wifi is more unstable and congested.
My WiFi is no longer connecting to the Eachine E58 drone. Sometimes I am seeing the network from the drone and it may connect, but then it says that the internet may not be available. So the app doesn’t work. I have changed the settings to Static, and the IP address to 192.168.1.1 but to no avail. I have a micro SD memory card in the slot also. Any suggestions?
